Langkawi Trip 2009

(cable car emerging out of the mist)

Hey you guys,

Back from another holiday! And this time it is Langkawi! Seriously it was super fun. Started the day early in the morning (4.30am - yes that early) and then upon arrival at Langkawi we were immediately wooshed off to tour! No break what so ever! We visited the Batik Making place pretty boring considering the lady wasn't so much in a good mood. Everything there was over priced. So don't bother buying. Then rushed to the cable car place and went up for an amazing view seriously worth the climb and effort. Managed to rent a Segwey Vehicle and went around driving it like a pro! After that ermm we went over to the Fish Aquarium? The big one Underwater World is what they call it. And yea fishes there were AMAZING. They just seem to get bigger and bigger as we went on. I wonder why it seemed so big.

Had lunch at some Thai Restaurant and my dad was going NOOOOO!!! cause he just came back from Bangkok that very night. 12am can't imagine how he pulls that off! The food there was average. UNTIL the fish came. OMG the fish curry was simply amazing. Never tasted such fresh good tasting fish curry. After that we checked in to the hotel. I went to swim (feeling guilty after such a heavy lunch)...the pool was interesting...they were selling ice cream on the side!

2nd day! Up real early in the morning (this time 7am) to get ready to go onto the boat and go ISLAND HOPPING! it was so much fun to sit on the speed boat and swim in the sea on the first island with sharp dead corals. Alvis and Jimmy got cuts all over from the dead corals. AND being the smart me I just swam over the dead corals and avoided any injury! Picked up a few shells for the baby of the group (real baby) Abby...she was so happy with the different rocks and stuff...so easily entertained :) After that hit another place for FISHING! my sister caught a fish and so did my mum and 2 other guys in our group, but I only managed to hook both my 2nd finger of my right hand and middle finger of my left hand (pretty good catch I would suppose).

Catching fish wasn't really my thing, then we hit the 3rd island which was the uphill hike towards the fresh water lake. NOW that was my thing 50feet in depth swimming :P tried so many things! The water was so refreshing and clean. BAD side was it was so dark below me I could not see anything when I tried to dive....4th island was barbecue on the side of the beach. It was really cool...had fresh crabs and fish...and it was really really cool!

3rd day was just mainly shopping and moving about the island and lastly buying a ton of sweets and chocs for myself and for my dear friends :) SORRY if I didn't get you one. You are still dear to me!!

That's it I guess...3 days of fun. Won't forget it.

2012

Guess what people? I managed to watch 2012 The Movie on Monday night. It was an amazing show. I highly recommend it. It is sorta like a harsh reminder to us all of what is there to expect of the earth if we continue to treat the earth for granted.

Some may say it is a really fantasy-like movie and it is over the top based on drama and storyline, but isn't that the purpose of a movie? To touch on imagination no one can imagine. Personally I feel it reminded me of how much time I have till it is all over for me. Treasuring every moment of it. I truly think this is a moving movie.

How did the song go? Time for Miracles by Adam Lambert? Well I think it is AMAZING.

Be the judge yourself. Listen to it from Youtube.

You like it? Well consider buying it. It is really worth it. Buy The 2012 Soundtrack.

Singapore Trip 2009

Hey you guys I have been away for ages! Guess why? This was because I was in Singapore for a few days. 4 days to be exact. It was crazy I walked so much and I have to say something the public transport and cleanliness of Singapore is first class. One thing I realized was the people's attentiveness towards small details that I thought only I would notice. Such a neat and organized city! Thumbs up to the people who have put in an effort to make it as such. No complaints though from where I come from though! Malaysia is picking up speed and change is happening so no complaints what so ever. I am sure that Singapore went through rough times too!

Thinking of visiting Singapore? Well I suggest it really! It is an all round amazing city!

(yes look at the amount of cameras on one place!)

Okay where to start? Well I left early Thursday morning. To be exact right I left the house around 5.15am in the morning, yes it was freggin early, but what to do sacrifices to take a first time flight with Tiger Airways it was a pleasant experience :) it was a small plane, but the pilot is super amazing he made a gliding landing no complications or bumps what so ever!

Landed at Singapore safely on the first day and immediately after touching down my aunt came and pick us up! It has been some time since I last saw her and it was cool to meet her again. She took us to side stalls selling food and the food was amazing! 2 SingDollar (SGD for short) for the Nasi Lemak and there was chicken, egg, and sambal and stuff, amazing deal we got there!

For those that don't know what Nasi Lemak is it is a Malay mix rice. The rice is made with coconut milk, that makes it really aromatic and tasty! add with Sambal which is a mixture of onions, anchovies, and chilly. It is sort of a curry. It is then finished with fried nuts and eggs and what so ever extra's you wish to add.

After that my sister and father straightaway started the shopping spree! Buying two new shoes, each one getting one! Dropped by Ang Mo Kio for a quick look about. Ended up at Sumo Sushi Restraunt for lunch. The food there was really reasonable and good. And guess what I found? 1 SGD bread ice cream. I mean where can you find such cheap ice cream. And the ice cream portion was fairly big. Imagine a gold bar but smaller a tad bit. Worth it right? after that we went back home after that and went out for dinner SOMEWHERE! (can't remember) after that my uncle took us for a joy ride down Orchard Road. We managed to see the lights of the street light up! It was simply amazing.

2nd Day

A day on our own. Me, mum, and sis. Walked the entire Orchard Road, visited every shopping mall on that stretch! Seriously it was a really good experience. Shopped quite a bit. Won't get into details of what I bought, to many to state down. Seriously public transport in Singapore its AMAZING.

3rd Day

Woke up at 11am. Then another of my aunt took us to Toa Pa Yoh. It was not a place of my liking though, but my sister and mum bought some things there. After that took the train down to Bugis and ended up taking the cab to Little India. Had food at Spice Junction and it was simply amazing. Such delicacies. Seriously you should consider good Kerala Food. As claimed the only authentic shop around by my dad's friend. After that went back to Bugis and did shopping there too! Then the night was upon us. Went out to have dinner in a really nice Chinese restaurant that I don't know the name of it. Sorry forgot.

4th day. Wake up went to the shops to have breakfast and took the flight back to KL!

You can say that it has been crazy holiday/work.

Didn't bother blogging about work since it is such boring stuff to read about.
